- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I honestly wouldn't even give her one star. The definition of a "Guardian ad litem" is to find the best interest of the child. Mary is suppose to be my guardian ad litem and I haven't heard from her in I can't tell you when. For 2 years, she is suppose to help me out in a very difficult situation, but she has done nothing but make it even more difficult. Mary made decisions for me regarding custody with my parents, but the decisions never worked out because she never took the time to know my personal life. Mary said rude words to me over the phone, which she won't admit to. Now, she is trying to charge my family with outrageous fees. For doing what? Nothing.By LAUREN JUSTICE, October 12, 2016
